Armed Drill

This team of drill elite is right for you!

​

This team will teach you everything you need to know, all you need is a will to learn, Cadets get to compete in local and across the state drill competitions and showcases ROTC's finest drill rifles. At these meets you get to do basic drill skills expect with a rifle. Cadets get opportunities to lead, learn new skills and earn trophies, medals and scholarships for performance in this team.

Basic Drill 

Want to improve your drill skills? Want the opportunity to learn how to command a platoon confidently and correctly?

Basic Drill is right for you!

​

In this program you will be able to hone in your skills and become the best drill cadet on the deck through numerous activities, lessons and competitions. Cadets also get the opportunity to show off their newly learned and improved skills at drill meets, ceremonial events and be able to earn trophies, ribbons and medals for their outstanding performances.

Color Guard

Want to learn how to conduct ceremonies with flags and rifles? Want the opportunity to earn free tips to community events?​

 

Color Guard is right for you! 

​

This team is a specialized drill force used for important in-school and out of school events. These specialized cadets will learn how to wield a rifle and be flag-bearers during these ceremonies. These events range from important Duval court naturalization ceremonies and THE veterans day parade to school visits and football games, Color Guard does it ALL!

Athletic Team

Competitive? Like sports? Want to enhance your physical strength and endurance?

Athletics is the place for you!

Participants have the opportunity to compete in military comps across the state with each other and win trophies, medals and recognition. Cadets compete in activities, sporting comps., tug-a-war, relays, marathons and numerous other strenuous activities made to challenge you physically.

The academics is right for you!

​

In this team cadets get to travel across the state and out of state go head to head with other NJROTC units for scholarships, medals and recogniton. Cadets will be quizzed on a variety of topics from names of aircrafts and weaponry to NFL sport quarterbacks and scientific knowledge. Everyone will get to shine!

Orienteering

Love adventure? Want to learn basic survival skills? Want to learn how to adapt in any situation?

Then Orienteering is right up your alley!

​

On this team cadets will be placed in managed, secluded environments and forced to find their ways back using only their maps, compasses and knowledge. If cadets perform well in these competitions they can travel across the US and perform for opportunities at medals, ribbons and scholarships!

Marksmanship 

The NJROTC Marksmanship Team Area 10 2024-2025 Champs represents BK in competitions nationally, as well as throughout NJROTC Area-10. The Marksmanship Team stresses mental discipline, concentration, the ability to relax under pressure, and stamina. For practices contact the team commanders. Cyberpatriot Team

CyberPatriot is an Air Force Association (AFA) funded program designed to teach students about social security. With the rate in which access to the internet is growing, there is also a rise in threats to our privacy. These security threats and breaches are almost always linked to user negligence. CyberPatriots' purpose is to raise awareness on the importance of cybersecurity to ensure that our future generations can safely thrive- offline and online. 

Drone Team

The NJROTC Drone Team was formed during the 2018-2019 school year and has grown ever since. The drone team's goal is to adapt to the growing advancements of technology in small aircraft flying and spying using drones. These cadets have the opportunity to show off their skills at competitions and school events across the state. Also, unlike any other teams, this team also has a class where cadets have the opportunity to take the national drone license test to earn their licenses in drone piloting.
