BK Basic Leadership Training (BLT)

Description: 3-day event of fun games and learning led by Cadet Staff, Training Officers, and upperclassmen. The main objective is for the new Naval Science 1 (NS1) cadets to meet other members of the unit, as well as spend time learning the basics of NJROTC, such as: Chain of Command, Orders to the Sentry, drill, PT, flag detail, etc. NS1 cadets will have the opportunity to promote to Seaman Apprentice during BLT!

Camp Blanding Basic Leadership Training (BLT) Camp

Camp Blanding Joint Training Center, 5629 FL-16 W, Starke, FL 32091
Description: Ridgeview High School and Cairo High School will host a Basic Leadership Training (BLT) Course at Camp Blanding from Tuesday to Saturday, 27 June - 01 July. Training and activities will include Naval Science Studies, Drill, Uniform Prep and Inspection, the Leadership Reaction Course, an Obstacle Course, a Marksmanship Familiarization Fire, Canoeing, a tour of the Camp Blanding Museum, and Orienteering. The staff will consist of Naval Science Instructors, volunteers and a cadre of senior NJROTC Cadets who will lead, conduct training, and mentor participants.
Cost is $180.00.

Description:
The AFA CyberCamp program is designed to excite students new to cybersecurity about STEM(Science-Technology-Engineering-Math) career opportunities and teach them important cyber defense skills through hands-on instruction and activities. Through the camp, students will learn how to protect their personal devices and information from outside threats, as well as how to harden entire networks running Windows 10 and Ubuntu operating systems. The AFA CyberCamp will culminate in an exciting final team competition that simulates real cybersecurity situations faced by industry professionals and mimics AFA’s CyberPatriot National Youth Cyber Defense Competition.
Two Camps: Standard AFA CyberCamp teaches beginner students the basics, while Advanced AFA CyberCamp incorporates more complex concepts geared towards students who have previously​ participated in a Standard AFA CyberCamp or participated in the CyberPatriot competition.
